Sautéed Asparagus with Hazelnuts


HAZELNUTS, HAZELNUT OIL​

INGREDIENTS​
​
1 bunch of asparagus
3 tablespoons hazelnut oil
4 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup hazelnuts
Salt and pepper to taste
​Lemon wedge (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
PREP. Snap or chop off the tough ends of each asparagus spear. Chop into two inch pieces. Mince the garlic. Coarsely chop the hazelnuts, leaving some whole.
SAUTE. Heat a skillet with hazelnut oil over medium heat. Add the prepared asparagus. Sauté for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute. Stir in the chopped hazelnuts, and sauté for an additional minute. Asparagus should be tender with charred spots. Adjust cooking time for thickness of asparagus. 
SEASON. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with a lemon wedge.
