Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use hazelnut oil?

Food: Hazelnut oil has a decadent flavor and heart-healthy fat profile that can't be beat in the kitchen. It is super versatile, and can be used anywhere you would use olive oil (roasting, baking, dressings, etc.), but with a 30° higher smoke point that allows you to safely sauté without releasing free radicals. Here are five great ways to use hazelnut oil in your kitchen:
  1. Elevate your baking and eliminate more processed vegetable oils! Try hazelnut oil in brownies or in this unbelievably moist orange cake.
  2. Toss your favorite vegetable with hazelnut oil before roasting! One farmer favorite: hazelnut oil and honey-glazed roasted carrots!
  3. Pop your popcorn with hazelnut oil and make this show-stopping, sweet and spicy HazelPopcorn.
  4. Try hazelnut oil in chef Beth Dooley's secret sauce: this hazel maple salad dressing.
  5. Easiest of all, grab a baguette, dip it in hazelnut oil, and enjoy!
Beauty: With plenty of vitamin E, high oleic acid, and a low comedogenic index (it will not clog your pores) hazelnut oil has been touted as the "liquid gold" of skin and hair care. In fact, some beauty companies sell 3oz bottles of hazelnut oil for $70!

Try hazelnut oil:
  • Under your eyes to reduce dark spots
  • On acne scars and stretch marks to reduce discoloration
  • On the tips of your hair
  • On your face after moisturizing
  • In a hair mask to promote hair growth
  • On dry skin before you shower

We believe in edible beauty products! If you wouldn't eat your moisturizer, you might not want it seeping into your skin.
Massage: Whether you're looking for deeper relaxation, more hydrated skin, or intensified sensuality with your partner, use hazelnut oil to enhance your massage experience. Hazelnut oil absorbs cleanly into the skin, reducing friction and relaxing your muscles without leaving you sticky.
